Agrilympics 2015

3So at the weekend we got our team of inLIFE geeks and thrown them into a farm pulling tractors and rolling hay bales all in the name of charity.

We had a fantastic time at the Agrilympics run by the National Forest Adventure Farm whose event this year was supporting the brilliant work of CLIC Sargent. The charity supports children with cancer and their families making the most out of life.

As a team we would like to thank everyone who sponsored us and donated through our JustGiving page. Team inLIFE raised £255 and overall £3645 was raised for children with cancer by everyone.

Team inLIFE came 4th out of 10 teams! Considering our geeks spend most of their time sitting in front of a computer we are very proud of our 4th place position.

The events were:

Tractor Pull, Farmyard Obstacle Course, Hay Bale Heft (Men & Women), Wife Carrying, Round Bale Roll, Eating Competition (Men & Women) and Tug-o-War.

Overall, even if we do say so ourselves we did our best and done quite well at all the events considering the other teams were made up of farmers. Although the wife carrying was a bit of a challenge and resulted in Danny being carried instead! We would also like to thank Shallon who joined as our fourth member of our team she did great coming second in the eating competition and carrying our Danny across the finish line.

The evening finished with some live music from The Silcone Taxis whilst everyone enjoyed the BBQ and bar.

At the office we are going to start training for next year’s Agrilympics, thank you to the National Forest Adventure Farm for a fun filled evening full of laughs – we’ll be back next year! Check the pictures out:
