At the weekend our team at inLIFE took part in the Push Kart Derby as part of the Burntwood Wakes Festival this summer. It was a great day out for the local area with us and five other karts racing down the main street by Sankeys. The track was a 110m and we also had to compete in a slalom course around hay bales.
The frame of our homemade kart was built by Chris at Total Group Construction. We would also like to thank Tasha’s Grandad and Mom who turned the steel frame into a functioning push kart!
So after a late night with the design team (David, Tasha, Matt and James) sporting a flame design in our classic inLIFE red the kart was ready to go.
We won a couple of our races and overall came 5th out of 6 teams – we even got a medal for being the only team who did not get award! But in this case it really was the taking part that counts as we had so much fun getting involved with the local community. Thanks to our racing team; David, Matt and Dan and a guest experience from Sean. Take a look at our photos from the event as well as the professional ones taken by DB Photography.
